Gary and Marti founded Abba Photography in 1990 and created the family and baby portrait market after being in the wedding business for the past 20 years. Our clients keep coming back to us for their family newborn portraits.

Our studio is located in Longwood, Florida. A serene private lake with abundant outdoor locations are our natural backdrop for portraits as well as an indoor shooting area with multiple background choices. We have a private dressing room with a changing table for your convenience.

We offer specialty products and services as well as secure password protected on-line viewing and ordering. All orders placed on-line are delivered to your door for your convenience.

The Best Ages for Portraits

We have many clients ask us at what age to have their new baby first photographed. We find that may of them like the idea of a session scheduled during the first month. This will provide you with priceless memories that otherwise would never again be possible. You will treasure these photos taken when they are so tiny that they fit perfectly cradled within your forearm or their little fingers wrapped around just one of yours.

First year – Changes occur most rapidly… be prepared to capture this magic time at 3, 6, and 9 months.
Age 1 – Permanent facial characteristics first begin to show future family likeness… a baby still, but a robust and growing person.
Age 2 – The language barrier has been broken and the child responds to reason… humor…action.
Age 4 – The child begins to display individuality and an emerging personality.
Age 7 – The second teeth change the facial contours and a growing mind develops a more mature, inquiring outlook.
Age 12 – The child approaches the teens…entering a dress rehearsal for adulthood… taking steps toward independence.
Age 16 – Childhood ends and the adult to come shows signs of emerging.

Over the years we have been asked many times if it is OK to bring the family pet. We say yes and want you to feel comfortable doing so. We find that most times outside or on location sessions work best.
