Photoshop Fix

Here is a perfect example of a Photoshop Fix on a recent wedding that took place 5 minutes before sunset in Cocoa Beach, Florida with available light only which has a tendency to pick up a lot of blue hues. The “before and after” photos shown below give you an idea of what can be done with Photoshop in the hands of an experienced professional photographer. Notice how the glitter sparkles were removed from the brides face as well as bikini sun tan lines and an overall color correction and level/contrast adjustment.

Today’s photographer has so much more control over the final image compared to the studios in the past that had to rely on the lab technician doing this for you. Of course, communicating what you wanted back then was equally a challenge. So many clients today have the mindset that having the high res digital files is the end goal so that they can post them to social media sites in record speed vs having an enlargement that will pass the test of time as an heirloom print. Telling people what is possible and getting them to understand what is possible are two completely different scenarios. If you are wanting to TRUST your photographer with your images using their years of expertise, simply communicate what you want and you just may be very surprised at what treasure you discover is yours.
